Manifest Wisely

Today I will pay attention to all I have. I will not think about what I want or don’t have yet. Every time I feel discouraged or restless I will think about how far I’ve come — how many things I have that I didn’t have three years ago. I will remember the good and be content with only that. – Words of Women

Power of Manifestation

I am a firm believer and advocate for the power of manifestation. The simple adage of ‘ask and you shall receive’ is something I have always practiced unknowingly, but now I am fully aware of this skill and use it more intentionally than I ever did in my 20s. People would tell me all the time, “things just fall into your lap” or “everything just comes to you.” Before I would say, “I am lucky,” or “I live a charmed life.”

I seldom say I am lucky now. The power of manifestation allows me to create my reality, my charmed life. My life is not perfect by any means; no one has a perfect life. However, I do know I am one of few people who is not afraid to die tomorrow. You know why? Because I have lived a DAMN good life thus far. The Drake lyric in the Nicki Minaj song, Moment for Life, “Cause everybody dies but not everybody lives, ah,” says it best. This is the truth for so many and, not to be morbid, but if I passed away tomorrow, I could go on to my next life knowing I lived.

Three Keys to Manifestation

The ability to manifest things into your life comes from being able to do three things:

 Your consciousness becomes your reality.

If you think everything sucks, trust me everything will suck. If you think everything is sugar and spice and lovely and nice, you guessed it, everything will be just that. With that being said, you have to honestly come to terms with how you are consciously perceiving the world. Your mind mirrors back to you how you are perceiving the world. What is internally happening is what will reflect right back to you. Every little thought you have counts. Pick the good thoughts.

Reduce the Constant Chattering in your Mind.

There is scientific benefits of learning the art of quieting and calming the mind. You can google meditation for more on that. If you can quiet the noise in your head while you are getting barraged by negative self-talk and external negativity, you become capable of halting your mind and re-directing it back to your positive desire.

This is critical. Think of the media. A huge one is the news. Most people watch the news and it is more often than not one of the most depressing sources of information. I choose not to watch the news regularly because of this. I am not saying I do not know current affairs because I do. However, I receive that knowledge in other ways. Outlets I thoroughly enjoy are ones that help me cultivate my manifesting abilities. Positive and uplifting outlets I enjoy are Words of Women, Notes from the Universe, Ted Talks and Positive Psychology, to name a few.

Become a pro at detachment

You have to 100 percent trust the Universe. The Universe truly supports you on your journey to manifest your desires. Let go and trust. All you need is provided to you. The more you let go of any attachments you have, the more you can embrace that you already have manifested what you desire into your life. Being unattached to the end result does not mean you do not care at all if it happens or not, it just means you are not losing a wink of sleep over it, because you truly believe you and the Universe are creating what you desire through you and for you.

Manifestation Magic Moments

  1. I manifested two tickets to the National Museum of African American History and Culture at the Smithsonian, when we were told by numerous people we would not be able to get in. (Check out that post here.)
  2. After being told by five different store employees we would not find any solar eclipse glasses so late, I manifested nine pairs the day of the eclipse  (everyone in my family nonchalantly assumed someone else would get the glasses, fail).
  3. I manifested better health insurance by way of a new job, which made my incredibly expensive emergency surgery for my endometriosis affordable.

Blissers, the power is within you. Be conscious, meditate, detach and Decide Bliss.
